With WWE Backlash coming our way on June 14, we now have an answer as to whether the pay-per-view will air live or be taped in advance.
As reported on Fightful Select (subcription required and recommended), parts of Backlash are being taped at the WWE Performance Center today, meaning the show will not be completely live.
The Performance Center trainees who will be in the crowd were said to be called into the PC for filming this morning.
The report does note that it’s unknown at this time if there’ll be any cinematic elements present on the show. I personally can’t wait for the inevitable 450 Corkscrew Shooting Star Press Rana from Edge during the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever against Randy Orton.
When the taping today is done, the trainees will be taken to Full Sail University to be in the crowd for tonight’s NXT TakeOver: In Your House event, which will be live with the exception of the NXT Championship Backlot Brawl match between Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream.
WrestleTalk.com will have live coverage both tonight for TakeOver: In Your House and next Sunday for Backlash.
