Damian Priest has done pretty well for himself since arriving in NXT in 2018. He was repackaged with his current name and character last year and has gone on the win the NXT North American Championship, his first gold with the promotion.
Now, he has revealed that The Undertaker gave him some advice at the Performance Center. Needless to say, when The Undertaker speaks, you listen. Here is the quote from Priest’s interview with Sports Illustrated:
“This isn’t on the Network or part of his documentary, but he came back to the Performance Center again and I got to work out in the ring with him, and I learned so much. Ring positioning, look, awareness, being overly aware of your surroundings, he makes it all look easy. It might sound simple, but he has this gift of making sure everything he does means something. I really gained a lot from him.”
Priest began being pushed in NXT earlier this year. He had a breakout performance against Finn Balor at NXT Takeover: In Your House and he followed that performance by winning the North American title at NXT Takeover: XXX.
