On last night’s episode of AEW: Dynamite, we saw paying fans return to the show for the first time since March, when AEW moved shows to Daily’s Place because of the Coronavirus.
The crowd did make a noticeable difference to the show, and after months without fans, 500 fans in the building for the show felt and sounded more like 5,000.
Before the show went on the air, AEW Owner Tony Khan addressed the live crowd, even setting out a few ground rules for the show, which he has since confirmed on social media.

Fightful Select (subscription required and reccomended0 is reporting that, prior to the show, Tony Khan came out to the crowd and told them not to swear. He asked the crowd to be loud (which they were)
“Tony Khan came out before the show to give a “pre game” speech, where he asked the crowd to be hot, and requested they don’t chant “holy shit”.
Khan has since confirmed this to be true in a back-and-forth on Twitter with Pro Wrestling Sheet editor-in-chief and special correspondent on WWE Backstage, Ryan Satin.
Because I wasn’t telling them when or what to chant, I was asking them not to chant profanity so we don’t get fined….. It’s not even similar, man.
The network specifically asked me not to let the crowd chant that, and I’m a good cooperative media partner.
