Many people were curious when NXT was not included at this year’s Survivor Series event. The brand had been the focal point of the 2019 event but were absent this year. Now, Triple H has provided a possible reason for NXT’s exclusion.
During the NXT TakeOver WarGames media call, Triple H was asked about why NXT was involved and he said while he doesn’t know for sure, he believes the pandemic played a role.
Asked about NXT being left out of SS, he believes the pandemic played a role in that they are trying to keep things separated. Didn't seem like the right thing to do in a lot of ways considering what is needed with the build-up. ^JN

If you remember, the reason WWE axed Raw Underground was to keep stars from Raw and SmackDown from mixing. This was during the last Performance Center COVID-19 outbreak so it does track that WWE would want to limit the mixing of different rosters.
NXT is set for this Sunday’s NXT TakeOver WarGames event. This is the event that usually takes place the same weekend as the Survivor Series pay per view.
