On last night’s episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network, a member of the Performance Center who actually signed with the company last Summer made her debut for the black and gold brand under a new name.
Rita Reis signed with WWE in August 2019 in the same class as former Monday Night Raw star Austin Theory. On last night’s show, she debuted as Valentina Feroz as she lost in pretty quick fashion to Mercedes Martinez.
For those that don’t know, Feroz is a was signed after impressing WWE scouts at a tryout in Chile in December 2018. The 25-year-old is a former Jiu-Jitsu World Champion and has also competed in Judo.
Many people were understandably watching AEW Dynamite last night as it was a tribute show to Brodie Lee, so you may have also missed the news that two WWE Raw stars made surprise appearances on the final NXT show of the year last night.
The plans that WWE has for Valentina Feroz following her NXT debut as we head into 2021 are unclear. For any potential updates or new bits of information, make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
