WWE Star Contacted Triple H For NXT Return

A popular WWE competitor has admitted that she contacted Triple H before anyone else upon finding out she was cleared to wrestle.

One half of the current NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, Ember Moon has thrived since returning to NXT in October. Moon has now revealed that she contacted Triple H as soon as she found out she was fighting-fit.

Speaking with GiveMeSport, Moon explained that she didn’t feel like there was a place for her on Raw or SmackDown. After a promising meeting with Triple H, Moon let The Game know as soon as she was ready to compete on The Gold Brand.

Here is the full quote:

“I started just looking and I was like, I don’t know if I fit in on RAW, I don’t know if I fit in on SmackDown – but NXT that’s someplace I fit in. So I went and I had a meeting and I just told him (Triple H) how I felt. And he was just like, ‘Okay, if this is something you really want to do, F-yeah, I would love to have you back. But we got to see, because we all know that they really love you up there.’

“Honestly, the first phone call I made, it wasn’t to my husband, it wasn’t to any of my friends – It was to Triple H. I got a text from Triple H saying welcome home, we got you back. And I was like, ‘Yes, I’m coming back baby,’ and so I ended up staying an extra week filming all these vignettes because they asked what do you want to do?”

After signing with NXT in 2015, Moon gradually rose through the ranks, winning the NXT Women’s Championship in November 2017. She would leave NXT in April 2018 to join the Raw roster.

At NXT TakeOver: 31 last year, Moon’s return to NXT was confirmed. Since then, Moon has had entertaining matches with the likes of Dakota Kai and Candice LeRae.

Moon has recently opened up about considering retirement, which you can read about here.
