WWE/AEW
A big free agent has officially signed with AEW after WWE speculation, but has yet to make their debut for the company.
Many big name wrestlers hit the free agent market at the beginning of 2024, including names such as Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay and Deonna Purrazzo, who have all since joined All Elite Wrestling.
Another big name wrestler who became a free agent at the start of the year was Kamille, who had left the NWA due to contract expiry.
It had been reported that WWE had interest in bringing in Kamille, with the company even reportedly offering her a deal with NXT.
However, it was also noted that Kamille had been leaning towards joining AEW, with one of the reasons being the company’s ability to accommodate for any potential movie roles she may be interested in.
Kamille got a lot of people talking on social media yesterday, when she revealed that she had actually been signed to a company and was no longer a free agent, and had been since February (although she later claimed she had misread the tweet she was replying to).
In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), the former NWA Women’s Champion is set to join AEW, and is under contract with the company.
It is not yet known when we may see Kamille officially debut on AEW television.
