Cole’s WWE contract expired in June, before the former NXT Champion signed an extension long enough for him to compete at NXT TakeOver 36.
Following his All Out appearance, Adam Cole explained the process of leaving WWE for AEW, stating that completing his feud with Kyle O’Reilly was important to him.
As per Dave Meltzer, Dunne’s contract was set to expire this month. WWE reportedly offered Dunne an extension in August. He last wrestled on the August 10 episode of NXT against Ilja Dragunov.
