WWE filed for the trademark on ‘Tough Enough’ back on November 30, per the USPTO.
Tough Enough was a WWE reality show that features hopeful trainees trying to earn a million dollar WWE contract. The sixth and most recent season of the show aired in 2015, and produced several names who appeared on WWE TV in the following years, namely Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose and Velveteen Dream.
The description reads as followed:
Mark For: TOUGH ENOUGH trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies; outerwear, namely, coats; bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, dresses, pajamas, lingerie, clothing ties, scarves, gloves, swimwear; Halloween and masquerade costumes; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, boots; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wrist bands; bandanas; championship trophy belts.
WWE filing for the trademark doesn’t necessarily mean the show is making a return, as WWE also recently filed to trademark ECW, so it appears they are just filing trademarks that either expired or they never owned.
Edge recently referenced The Miz’s time on the show in their recent promo exchange on Raw. WWE has since announced that the two will meet again on Miz TV on this Monday’s (December 6) episode of the show.
