On tonight’s (January 25) episode of AEW Dynamite, Bryan Danielson took on Brian Cage in the next match on his quest to become the number one contender to the AEW World Championship.
Bryan defeated Cage, just as he did Konosuke Takeshita, Tony Nese and Bandido in the prior weeks.
Later in the show, MJF cut a backstage promo, where he said that emotional pain leaves a scar, and he reached out to a man who loves inflicting pain.
Footage then aired of former NXT star Timothy Thatcher’s recent matches in Pro Wrestling NOAH, with him set to make his AEW debut against Danielson next week.
Also announced for next week is a rubber match between Jon Moxley and Hangman Adam Page, as well as a TNT Championship match between Darby Allin and Samoa Joe.
AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed are also to be in action on the show.
Thatcher was released from WWE back in January 2022, during the then-restructuring of the NXT brand.
