Roxanne Perez has become one of WWE’s fastest rising stars since she debuted on the NXT brand last year.
In just her first year in the company, Roxanne won the first-ever NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, won both the NXT Women’s and NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships and appeared on the main roster both in a tag team match on SmackDown and in the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble.
Today (April 15) marks the one year anniversary of Roxanne’s NXT debut, where she defeated Sloane Jacobs on NXT Level Up. Roxanne would make her debut on the main NXT show the following week, defeating Jacy Jayne.
Taking to Instagram, Roxanne reflected on her first year in the company, thanking the fans for believing in her.
She wrote:
-first ever womens breakout tournament winner
-first ever iron survivor winner
-NXT womens tag team champion
-NXT womens champion
-Smackdown debut
-Royal Rumble debut🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤:’))
Today marks my 1 year in NXT and I’m seriously so so so extremely grateful for all of these opportunities and everything I’ve been able to accomplish so far I could cry. I can’t wait to continue this journey w/ you guys & experience so many more magical moments. Thx for believing in me 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
