WWE are said to be ‘hopeful’ for the return of a long-absent WWE star following a cameo appearance on last night’s Draft.
WWE NXT star Wendy Choo has been out of action for almost a year, with her last competing on the May 16 episode of NXT Level Up, teaming with Kelani Jordan against Elektra Lopez and Lola Vice.
Despite her absence from the company, Wendy was spotted among the rest of the NXT talent on last night’s Draft show, where the NXT roster watched the show from the Performance Center.
In an update from Fightful Select (Subscription required), those within the company that spoke to Fightful were hopeful that she would be able to make a return soon.
Night one of the Draft saw three NXT names called up to the main roster, with Kiana James moving to Raw, while Baron Corbin and Carmelo Hayes moved to SmackDown.
More NXT names are expected to feature in night two of the Draft, which takes place on next week’s episode of Raw.
