WWE Star Mocks Injured Name For Being Pulled From King Of The Ring WWE

WWE King & Queen of the Ring takes place in Saudi Arabia on May 25, and Bobby Lashley is no longer part of the men’s titular tournament.

With first round matches underway in the King of the Ring tournament, Bobby Lashley was set to face Tama Tonga on WWE SmackDown.

On May 9, 2024, it was announced the Bobby Lashley would no longer be in the tournament due to “not being cleared to compete.”

With Carmelo Hayes and Lashley engaged in a war of words stemming back to the recent main roster call-up’s apparent attitude to the WWE veteran, the former NXT Champion reacted to the news in rather brutal fashion.

In a tweet posted in response to the breaking news about Lashley, he retweeted an image familiar to NXT fans with the message:

“Me finding OG in the weight room like:”

The image was from the October 17, 2023, episode of WWE NXT where Trick Williams was attacked by a mystery individual (who was later revealed to be Hayes), footage of which can be seen below.

Formerly friends, Williams and Hayes were engaged in a bitter feud that would culminate in a steel cage match on the April 16 episode of NXT, marking Melo’s final match on the brand before his main roster call up.

As recently reported, Angelo Dawkins will now face the Bloodline’s Tama Tonga in the opening round match while Carmelo Hayes faces Baron Corbin.

Elsewhere on WWE SmackDown, first round matches will see LA Knight take on Santos Escobar, and AJ Styles faces Randy Orton.
