SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has announced that another top WWE star has been pulled from King of the Ring.
The 2024 King of the Ring Tournament got underway on Raw, with three first round matches taking place.
One major change had taken place, with Jey Uso taking the spot of Drew McIntyre in the tournament, due to Drew being pulled from the tournament after not being medically cleared.
On the women’s side, Asuka was also removed from the tournament after not being cleared, with Damage CTRL stablemate Dakota Kai taking her spot in the first round against Lyra Valkyria.
Taking to Twitter today, Nick Aldis made a major announcement regarding the tournament, announcing that Bobby Lashley has been pulled from the tournament due to not being cleared to compete.
Lashley was replaced in the tournament by Pride stablemate Angelo Dawkins, who will now face the Bloodline’s Tama Tonga in the opening round.
The other first round matches on SmackDown will see LA Knight face Santos Escobar, Carmelo Hayes vs. Baron Corbin and AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton.
