An injury update has emerged after the events of the Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing.
The Anarchy in the Arena match saw Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley) defeat The Elite (Adam Page, Kenny Omega & Young Bucks) after the betrayal of Don Callis’ project Konosuke Takeshita.
The aftermath of the chaos would see Kenny Omega reveal that he still has “one or two friends” in the wider wrestling world that could even the odds in the feud between the two top groups.
As previously reported, the match was a wild encounter that did indeed bring anarchy to the arena, featuring an exploding superkick and some barbed wire shenanigans, not to mention a live band playing Moxley’s theme song, Wild Thing, until the lead singer ate a big double Superkick from the Young Bucks to end the jam session.
The exploding superkick came from Matt Jackson and his exploding shoe that would later be kicked into the crowd by Castagnoli (thankfully after it had exploded!)
Footage from the wild spot can be seen below this news story.
PW Insider has provided an update as to injuries sustained from the chaotic match, revealing that aside from “cuts, bumps and bruises” there were “no major injuries.”
