Confirming earlier reports, another championship match has been made official for the upcoming premium live event, WWE Money in the Bank.
With WWE’s Money in the Bank coming to fans live from London this Saturday, July 1, yet another big championship bout has been added to the card.
During a backstage segment on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw (June 26), it was confirmed that Matt Riddle would be facing off against GUNTHER at the upcoming event for the Intercontinental Championship.
After getting a brief upper hand on Ludwig Kaiser in the backstage segment, smacking him around a bit, it would be GUNTHER who would get the last laugh on behalf of Imperium.
Attacking back at Riddle, Kaiser was able to get the advantage over Riddle before GUNTHER accepted the challenge, delivering one final disabling blow before laughing and walking off.
Elsewhere set for tonight’s Raw, a preview of another championship match set for Saturday’s Money in the Bank premium live event as Raquel Rodriguez takes on Ronda Rousey in advance of their tag match for the Undisputed Women’s Tag Team Championship at Saturday’s Money in the Bank.
While Rousey would eventually win the match, it wasn’t before Rodriguez’s partner Liv Morgan proved she was back in action, diving off the steps onto Shayna Baszler to kick off a ringside brawl between the two.
