A new report has provided an update on Bayley’s status following an injury suffered at a house show.
On Sunday, July 16, Bayley suffered a legitimate injury during a match at a WWE live event in Salisbury, MD.
During the four-way bout with Asuka, Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair for the WWE Women’s Championship, “The Role Model” went down grabbing her knee when referee Jessika Carr put her arms up in a “X’ formation to signify an injury.
Bayley was assisted by WWE officials and trainers to the back and was seen on crutches leaving the arena afterwards.
Fightful Select provided an update, noting that WWE sources said they’d likely need to wait for the swelling to go down before finding out what was wrong with Bayley’s knee.
However, the former two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion leaving on crutches was seen as a good sign.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates on the nature and severity of the injury, and we send our best wishes to Bayley for a safe recovery.
