A WWE star has further teased the debut of a new version of his character following a well-produced vignette on this week’s NXT (August 15).
After a return to WWE TV on July 18’s NXT, Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo looked almost immediately set for a split from one another after Carrillo shoved his older cousin Garza to the ground after the bell.
However, after their disagreement, the two would seemingly get back on the same page with a video package on August 8’s NXT that showed the two exchange text messages reflecting on their recent path in WWE and how they are ’embarrassing’ the legacy of their grandfather.
Garza and Carrillo’s grandfather was Humberto Garza, a star for EMLL starting in the 1950s, carving out a legendary career for three decades.
He would pass away just recently in October 2022 at the age of 85, with a new video package that aired on this week’s NXT (August 15) showing footage of the former Los Lotharios with their grandfather both in recent years and in their younger days, alongside footage of the two training to become pro wrestlers.
The package ended with a tease that Garza and Carrillo would be ditching their womanising characters and become serious competitors on NXT.
Following up on the powerful few weeks of video packages, Garza has now taken to Twitter to further tease the upcoming change posting a photo of himself with his late-grandfather as well as the caption:
A dream can change your mind
There has been no concrete date for Garza and Carrillo’s return to NXT TV, but it looks like a revamp will put them on the right track for a bright future.
