Ahead of AEW All In at London’s Wembley Stadium, CM Punk was set to have a big four on four match on AEW Collision.
However, with AEW’s roster needing to make the trek across the pond to London in advance of Sunday’s big pay-per-view, a Saturday taping of Collision was not feasible.
Instead, matches for AEW Collision on Saturday August 25 are being taped after AEW Dynamite tonight (August 23) to air on Saturday.
On AEW Dynamite it was announced that Swerve Strickland, Brian Cage, Luchasaurus & Jay White were set to team up against CM Punk, Darby Allin, Sting and a mystery partner for Collision.
When the taping came around, it was revealed that the final member of team CM Punk was none other than HOOK.
Samoa Joe was also nearby and cut a promo before the match before doing commentary. In the end, CM Punk tapped out Brian Cage with Joe’s signature Coquina Clutch.
Punk will defend the Real World Championship against Joe at All In on Sunday.
Collision will still air normal time on Saturday, it just won’t be live.
