UPDATE: Mercedes Mone, formerly WWE’s Sasha Banks, is in fact present at Wembley Stadium for AEW All In – click here for more.
A major ex-WWE star looks to be in London right now ahead of today’s AEW All In event being held at Wembley Stadium.
Mercedes Mone, formerly Sasha Banks in WWE, has shared a rather interesting post on social media just hours ahead of the show.
As you can see below, taking to Twitter, Mone shared photos of herself in front of, and on, the London Eye.
Assuming she’s not just pulling one over on everyone and posting old pictures or something, Mone is in town for today’s show.
Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean she’ll be getting involved as there’s bound to be plenty of names from the world of wrestling who are just going to be around enjoying the occasion like fans, but we will keep you updated if any such news does come to light.
Mone hasn’t wrestled since May when she suffered an ankle injury during an NJPW match against AEW’s Willow Nightingale, which led to Nightingale winning the match that Mone was actually originally planned to win, and becoming the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, which for all intents and purposes was a championship created specifically for Mone to hold.
It’s believed there were discussions for Mone to work AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door back in June before she got injured, possibly against Jamie Hayter or Saraya.
