A popular star claims he suffered an injury on the August 28 edition of WWE Raw.
On the August 28 episode of WWE Raw, The Viking Raiders defeated The New Day thanks in large part to an accidental chair toss to the head of Xavier Woods from Drew McIntyre at ringside.
After the bout, McIntyre and Matt Riddle was seen backstage talking to Kofi Kingston to check on Woods in the trainer’s room.
It now seems like Woods might have been a little more banged up than originally presumed after the chair toss to the head.
On August 29, Xavier Woods took to social media to respond to a fan posting a photo of him at ringside at last night’s Raw and revealed that he was told by the doctor to take next week off. He wrote:
“Moments before I had a chair hurled into my face giving me whiplash. Doctors orders, no wrestling next week. Was pumped to be out there on my birthday but it looks like I’ll be spending it at home next Monday. See yall the week after!”
Later in the show, it was announced Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle will face The Viking Raiders in a Tornado Tag Team Match on next week’s September 4 edition of WWE Raw.
