AEW coach Mark Henry has shared his thoughts on AEW World Champion MJF, comparing the top star to a major WWE legend.
MJF’s recent AEW run has been interesting, with the world champion establishing himself as a popular babyface, following his run as one of the hottest heels in the wrestling business.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Mark Henry argued that MJF is like Stone Cold Steve Austin in the sense that he can be entertaining and make you believe, regardless of how you use him.
Henry said:
“Steve Austin wasn’t a babyface, he was just a hell of an entertaining wrestler that whatever story he was trying to tell, he can reel your a** in.
“Max is, in a way, kind of the same right now.”
MJF most recently defended his AEW World Title against Samoa Joe on Wednesday’s ‘Grand Slam’ edition of Dynamite.
Adam Cole suffered an injury during this show, meaning that a planned AEW pay-per-view match is now in ‘jeopardy’.
