An update has emerged on AEW content potentially streaming on Max (HBO Max), ahead of AEW announcing a streaming deal.
With AEW’s TV shows airing on networks owned by Warner Bros Discovery, it has previously been speculated that AEW will eventually land a deal to have its content on the company’s streaming service.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast has now noted that he’s confident that AEW content will arrive on Max in 2024.
Believing that there’s a chance that a 2023 show could air via the streaming service, Zarian noted the following on Wrestling Observer Live:
“I do have insight. They are going to Max. That is happening. That is happening in 2024 for sure. Maybe the December pay-per-view is on Max and that’s a real possibility,” Zarian
This all comes after Warner Bros. Discovery announced that Max is adding a live sports tier to its service on October 5. The new tier will be titled ‘Bleacher Report Sports Add-On’ or ‘B/R Sports.’
The live sports tier will be an additional $10 on top of Max’s standard subscription fee, and there will be a free promotional period that runs through October.
AEW pay-per-view events currently air on Bleacher Report Live.
We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
