Dakota Kai has discussed her recovery from ACL injury.
At WWE SummerSlam, IYO SKY cashed in the Money In The Bank contract to defeat Bianca Belair and win the WWE Women’s Championship. To celebrate her win, her Damage CTRL stablemates Bayley and the returning Dakota Kai came out to join her.
Kai has been sidelined with a torn ACL since May, but she has been regularly appearing on WWE programming since SummerSlam.
Speaking on The Run Home, Dakota Kai was asked how her recovery has been going. She answered:
“If we’re looking at an ACL, particularly my injury, it would be about eight to nine months. It happened end of May, so it will be January, maybe February.”
“I’m feeling good. I’m ahead of schedule in terms of my recovery. It will still be a minimum of eight months. Looking to be early 2024.”
Dakota Kai’s Damage CTRL teammate IYO SKY last wrestled in a win over Asuka to retain the WWE Women’s Championship on the September 22 edition of SmackDown.
