A WWE Hall of Famer is excited to see where Adam Copeland’s journey takes him in AEW.
At AEW WrestleDream, Edge, real name Adam Copeland, made his debut in All Elite Wrestling to confront his real life best friend Christian Cage and make the save for Darby Allin and Sting.
From Christian and FTR to The Hardys and Bryan Danielson, there are many AEW stars who have previous links and connections to “The Rated R Superstar.”
However, there are very few in the wrestling industry who have been linked to Copeland as long as Jeff Jarrett. The former Edge scored his first title win in WWE over Jarrett in 1999.
Speaking on his My World podcast, Jarrett commented on Adam Copeland’s arrival in AEW. He said:
“I know Adam well enough, and knew him…I can’t say day one, but day one in WWE. He has a passion about it.”
“You look back over his career and the neck deal, he retired, he was off the mat for that time. Since then, he’s come back, and there is a whole slew of directions it could go.”
“As a fan, which is me first and foremost, I’m excited to see where Adam Copeland’s journey takes him in AEW.”
Jeff Jarrett admitted that he was not present at AEW WrestleDream, but he was watching at home and remarked that he and his son popped for Copeland’s debut.
As previously reported, Adam Copeland has revealed how close he was to retiring after his WWE exit and AEW debut.
