WWE held it’s latest talent tryouts at the Performance Center last month, with several independent wrestling stars being set to attend the tryouts.
One of the more notable names set to attend was OVW’s Hollyhood Haley J, who recently featured in a key role in Netflix’s ‘The Wrestlers’ documentary.
However, Haley J’s tryout never ended up happening, with both WWE and OVW sources citing medical paperwork as the reason why.
In an update, Haley appeared on the Cafe de Rene podcast, where she said that her doctors wouldn’t clear her due to her epilepsy.
She said:
“I have epilepsy and my doctor is not trying to clear me to wrestle. My doctor. Of course, they were like, ‘we need a clearance letter.’ My doctor was like, ‘No.’ I’m in the process of finding another doctor to get a second opinion. I haven’t had a seizure in over six years. Been off medication for four, been wrestling for almost four years, haven’t had any issues. I don’t know why they won’t work with me. Waiting on a second opinion. Then, I should be right back up at the top where I belong.”
WWE sources reportedly said that they were hoping to bring Haley back in the future.
