Kyle Fletcher faced Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite in a match that left the Aussie Open member with “a lot to think about.”
In preparation for the first-time-ever singles match, Fletcher commented that he considers Omega the “measuring stick.”
Having caught the attention of the Don Callis family, events on the October 18 episode of Dynamite saw Fletcher unable to overcome Omega.
In the wake of the match, Fletcher has been quite open about sharing his thoughts on Twitter, writing:
“Yesterday has given me a lot to think about..
“I really thought I was good enough, maybe I’ve been wrong this whole time.”
MJF clearly saw something in Fletcher and responded with a heartfelt message, writing:
“Been in your position.
“Questioned if I’ll ever reach the top of the mountain.
“Got my teeth kicked in by Moxley.
“Got my back broken by Jericho.
“Keep grinding.
“Don’t stop trying to reach the summit. Even if the top of the mountain has a kangaroo kick with your name on it.”
Fletcher saw this as an opportunity to stake a claim to MJF’s spot and more, responding:
“Be there sooner than you think, scumbag
“I’ll take triple B and some royalties for those kangaroo kick shirts thanks.”
MJF will be appearing at the October 28 episode of AEW Collision in Uncasville, Connecticut.
