When WWE announced the Total Divas reality series back in 2013, it was met with a mixed reaction among those with no interest in reality television, and those who enjoyed the show.
Across it’s many years on the air, Total Divas was often credited for getting many women into wrestling, and one former star of the show hopes to see it come back.
Speaking to Insight with Chris Van Vliet, AEW star CJ Perry (former WWE star Lana) spoke about her time on the show, saying that she hopes both WWE and AEW bring back a similar style show.
She said:
“I really hope wrestling in both companies, AEW and WWE, they bring back some reality shows like that because it really brought a lot of women to watch it which I think is really important,”
Perry made her AEW debut at All Out, and is currently attempting to recruit clients during her ongoing story with husband Miro.
Perry also spoke about her debut in Chicago, revealing that Miro pitched for her debut in AEW to happen at All In.
