A former WWE Champion says Carmelo Hayes and Bron Breakker are the future of the company.
2023 has seen the wrestling world fully embrace WWE NXT once again as the company has re-dedicated themselves to the stars of tomorrow and promoting them as such.
To promote the release of the Our Heroes Rock short film ‘Bridges’ with Andres Hale and Jonathan Davenport, former NXT Champion Big E appeared on Busted Open Radio to discuss the film. The New Day member went on to speak highly of Carmelo Hayes and Bron Breakker, saying:
“I think so man (Carmelo Hayes seems like the future). I really do. He’s young, super athletic. Man, Bron Breakker as well. Bron’s another dude who I just think — and a humble dude.”
“With his lineage, played in the NFL a bit and all the things he’s done and we did the Oklahoma spring game because he’s helping out with recruiting.”
“We were both there together and talking to him, I feel like he has the right mindset for wanting to get better and wanting to learn from others too so when you’re around guys like that who are young and hungry and wanna learn and aren’t arrogant, it’s really cool to see.”
Carmelo Hayes last wrestled in a loss to NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov on Tuesday’s NXT Halloween Havoc Night 2, while Bron Breakker defeated Robert Stone on the same show.
