A WWE star has had their film project scrapped by Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD) even though principle photography wrapped last year.
A film set to feature John Cena has reportedly been entirely scrapped by WBD but after the filming was already wrapped.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, a hybrid live action and animation film starring John Cena – Coyote vs Acme – has been entirely scrapped by WBD.
With the film’s director referencing ‘test audiences’ in a statement, it seems that only a lucky few will ever have gotten see John Cena star in Acme vs. Coyote, a live-action and CG animation hybrid.
According to the report, the film was believed to cost ‘somewhere in the $60 million-$80 million range’ not only starred John Cena but also DC Studios co-head James Gunn was a producer on the film, also working on the story.
