AEW World Champion MJF has commented on his injury status ahead of tonight’s November 29 edition of AEW Dynamite.
At AEW Full Gear 2023, MJF defeated Jay White to retain the AEW World Championship in the main event.
During the course of the bout, MJF dislocated his hip performing the top rope elbow drop to White on the ringside floor, and aggravated a shoulder injury with a top rope uranage, according to a report from Dave Meltzer.
After a deleted tweet confirming it from the AEW World Champion, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp provided an update that MJF has a legitimate shoulder injury.
On November 29, MJF took to social media to provide his own update on his condition ahead of tonight’s AEW Dynamite. He wrote:
I didn’t sleep a wink.
In a shit ton of pain and can’t get comfortable.
But it’s Wednesday.
We got a show to put on.
I hear it all. I read it all. I see it all.
I’m wide awake in more ways than one.
Let’s restore the feeling. #AEWDynamite
