An update has been provided on a rumored WWE target in former MLW star Richard Holliday’s contract status.
As previously reported, there has been internal talks on WWE potentially bringing in Richard Holliday to the company.
This follows Holliday receiving a WWE tryout at the Performance Center earlier this year after departing MLW when his contract expired on April 19.
At MLW One Shot on December 9, Richard Holliday returned to Major League Wrestling and announced that he was taking on MLW Heavyweight Champion Alex Kane at Kings of Coliseum in January.
Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that Holliday is on a per-appearance deal with MLW upon his return.
Even before his initial departure, Holliday indicated that the split was amicable.
Richard Holliday has been working with GCW over the past few month working select dates.
WrestleTalk will provide further updates on Richard Holliday’s WWE status when they become available.
