A WWE star has reacted to fans accusing them of attacking their tag team partner amid an ongoing mystery angle.
On NXT television in recent weeks, a mystery angle has been playing out regarding who attacked Trick Williams on the show back in October.
Trick was set to be a part of a four-way to determine a new challenger for the NXT Championship, but was taken out of the match, which was eventually won by Carmelo Hayes.
Hayes winning the match, as well as his behavior in the following weeks, led many to believe he was the one guilty of the attack, despite Hayes saying otherwise.
Hayes accused Ilja Dragunov of attacking him on this week’s episode of the show, which the fans didn’t believe, with Ilja also pointing towards Hayes as the one who attacked Trick.
Taking to Twitter today, Hayes once again reacted to claims he attacked Trick, and that he faked his attack on this week’s show, saying:
Say what you want, but why would I lie when I have nothing to lose and nothing to gain. #WWENXT #JusticeForMelo
