AEW star Jay Lethal says he is happy to see TNA Wrestling back and wants to see the six-sided ring return as well.
At IMPACT Bound For Glory 2023, the company announced that they will be rebranding back to the TNA Wrestling moniker starting at Hard To Kill in January 2024.
This has led to many fans reflecting on the days of TNA from the past and expressing their excitement to see the brand back.
Current AEW star Jay Lethal is one of the most prominent champions in TNA history and was part of one of the most memorable moments in the company’s history with his “Wooo Off” with Ric Flair from 2011.
During a Highspots Virtual Signing, Lethal was asked about IMPACT Wrestling bringing back the TNA Wrestling name. He answered:
“I was happy they did that. You have no idea, I was happy. The next thing that needs to happen though is…the ring. That six-sided ring made them. It’s for the fans. It’s for them,”
When asked for his thoughts on the six-sided ring, Lethal replied:
“I didn’t mind it. It was a bit funky to get used to.”
When it was mentioned that most wrestlers didn’t like that ring, Lethal said:
“I know the wrestlers may (not) prefer it, but if that’s the identity and the fans voted. They should put a vote to the fans.”
