WWE star Grayson Waller slammed the city of Detroit and a local politician fired back, even saying that she’s ‘scrappy’!
Ahead of a WWE show in Detroit, Grayson Waller wrote on Twitter:
“After the fun and joy of the festive season, it’s nice to be brought back to reality performing in the absolute dregs of the US in Detroit 🎅”
It seems his insults for the city didn’t end there but what he may have not known was a Michigan state senator!
State Senator Dayna Polehanki was in the building, and took to Twitter to write:
“Here we go!!! My first ever WWE Live. Grayson Waller insulting Detroit! Jabroni! #wwedetroit”
Speaking to the Detroit News, the lawmaker later noted that she knew she had to clap back, on behalf of her state of course!
Waller for his part posted a typically hilarious Grayson Waller video where he described the event as “a crazy night,” but went on to hurl another insult.
Waller said:
“Getting to perform in the home of a historic basketball team, the Detroit Pistons — the most games lost in a row. This place sucks.”
Tomorrow night’s WWE SmackDown may feature an appearance from Waller however not in the typical live show format.
Hosted by Jackie Redmond and Corey Graves, the December 29 episode of WWE SmackDown will be a ‘Best of 2023’ episode.
