AEW president Tony Khan’s plans for WWE WrestleMania 40 weekend in Philadelphia in April have seemingly been confirmed.
WrestleMania 40 is set to take place on April 6 and 7, 2024 in Philadelphia, with WrestleMania week traditions set to take over Philly.
Previously, Tony Khan has run ROH’s Supercard of Honor event over WrestleMania week, typically on the Friday before WrestleMania night one.
However, Tony Khan had previously said that there was no plans to run an AEW/ROH show over WrestleMania weekend, but that now seems to have changed.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), ROH Supercard of Honor is currently listed internally on the company’s schedule for April 5 in Philadelphia.
The event is listed to take place at the Liacouras Center, which has a capacity of 10,000, but will be scaled for much less than that.
AEW previously broadcasted Dynamite from the venue in April 2022, which featured the match between Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, as well as Scorpio Sky winning the TNT Championship in a Ladder match.
We will provide any updates on the status of the show when they become available.
