Three WWE legends are expected in Tampa for the upcoming Royal Rumble 2024 as the speculation around surprise entrants continues.
With one of the most exciting parts of the WWE Royal Rumble being the anticipation regarding potential surprise entrants, there is now news of three big stars set to be in town for the event.
According to a report from PWInsider Elite (via Wrestling Inc) the Undertaker, his real life spouse Michelle McCool and Rey Mysterio are all set to be in town for the WWE Royal Rumble.
Rey Mysterio has been out with an injury since November 2023, but the word at SmackDown last night (January 19) was that he was expected to be at the Rumble.
However, it was specifically noted that it’s not known if he’ll actually be making an appearance or not – just that he’d be present.
The Undertaker notably has an edition of his One DeadMan Show on January 28, the day after the Royal Rumble.
That leaves however Michelle McCool who clocks numerous appearances in the Women’s Royal Rumble including 2018, 2022 and 2023.
McCool recently tweeted about not having been asked to join the Royal Rumble this time around, but of course that could change, or just have not been true.
Last year, rather than making an official ring entrance, McCool joined the Rumble from the crowd where she departed her front row seats with her children and joined the action in the ring.
Time will tell if we will see any of these three are actually in the WWE Royal Rumble 2024 matches, but they are all expected to be at the show.
Other names who’d be “surprise” entrants that do seem likely as of now are Naomi (Trinity Fatu), and Brock Lesnar.
Beyond the titular men’s and women’s Rumble matches, there is also a big four-way for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Roman Reigns is set to defend his title against LA Knight, AJ Styles and Randy Orton.
