An injured WWE star has been cleared and will return in a match announced for tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
On the January 1 “Day One” edition of WWE Raw, Imperium’s Ludvig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci faced Kofi Kingston and Jey Uso in tag team action.
However, the match ended abruptly after Vinci suffered an injury when Kingston delivered a dropkick under his chin as the Imperium member was leaping from the middle turnbuckle.
Since then, Kaiser has been hell bent on revenge when he attacked Kingston following their singles match on the January 8 episode, but Woods gained some retribution the following week.
Ahead of tonight’s Raw, GM Adam Pearce announced that Giovanni Vinci has been cleared to compete and Imperium will face New Day in a tag team bout on the show.
Already announced for the broadcast, CM Punk and Cody Rhodes will go face-to-face, Drew McIntyre will face Damian Priest and Ivar goes one-on-one with Chad Gable.
Imperium leader and WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER will compete in this Saturday’s Men’s Royal Rumble match at the titular event.
