There has been a potential spoiler on a big match planned for WWE Elimination Chamber in Perth next month.
The 2024 Royal Rumble match has now taken place, with Bayley securing the victory in the match, earning her a shot at a Women’s Championship of her choosing at WrestleMania.
With Bayley seemingly set to challenge IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship, that leaves Rhea Ripley’s opponent still open, and there has now been an update on how her challenger will be crowned.
Per PWInsider Elite (via WrestlingNews.co), the word at the Royal Rumble event was that the Elimination Chamber premium live event in Perth on February 24 would feature a Women’s Elimination Chamber match, with the winner set to face Ripley at WrestleMania.
The obvious favourite for the match is Becky Lynch, who has already begun her story with Rhea on Raw in recent weeks.
The other candidate would be Liv Morgan, who returned in the Women’s Royal Rumble match at number 30 after being taken out by Ripley.
It is expected that Rhea herself will feature heavily on the show, likely defending her Women’s Championship on the show.
Original plans for Brock Lesnar at the event that have now been scrapped have been revealed, which you can see here.
