After the success of Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia, WWE has been issued an ‘open invitation’ to return in the future.
On a show that saw Rhea Ripley retain against Nia Jax, Drew McIntyre heading to WrestleMania 40 to face the World Heavyweight Champion and Becky Lynch victorious in the women’s Elimination Chamber match, Triple H announced the attendance as 52,590.
The show was a big enough success for Western Australia to want WWE to make a return to the region, as reported by 9News Perth. The first reporter said:
“Perth has made a splash on the world stage, with the state government dubbing last night’s wrestling spectacle a roaring success. WWE has been issued an open invitation to return, with attention now on securing another UFC fight in Perth.”

Rita Saffioti, Tourism Minister and deputy premier of Western Australia, spoke to 9News Perth, saying:
“When you look at all the indicators, it has been a roaring success.
“52,000 people at the stadium last night, well above our projections.”

The news report notes that 14,000 fans travelled into Perth to see the show on Saturday, February 24.
In the report, it’s noted that taxpayers won’t know how much it cost the region to put on the show, but it is stated that it was a “good deal.”
In May 2023, it was reported that Puerto Rico paid $1.5 million to host WWE Backlash at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan.
As noted, Perth is reportedly now in talks with UFC, which recently merged with WWE, with cross-promotion between the two becoming more and more commonplace recently.
