A new report has revealed a potential schedule change for WWE SmackDown on Fox for this coming fall due to college football.
Since 2019, WWE SmackDown has been the flagship show on Fox every Friday night.
At the end of 2023, the company announced that the blue brand will be making the move from Fox to the USA Network starting October 2024.
On March 7, FoxSports announced that Fox will air college football games on Friday nights beginning in the fall.
A schedule has not been announced as of this writing, but the report from the AP News notes that SmackDown could be moved to FS1 if games air on Fox this September.
Fox has moved WWE’s Friday night show from its regular timeslot on Fox on multiple occasions throughout the past five years for the MLB Playoffs, World Series and other sporting events.
WWE and USA Network signed a five-year deal that will bring SmackDown to the network after the end of their deal with Fox.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on WWE SmackDown’s scheduling changes when they become available.
