Popular star and current AEW Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston has discussed his rivalry with CM Punk.
At AEW Full Gear 2021, CM Punk defeated Eddie Kingston in a heated battle between the two bitter rivals.
In the lead-up to the bout, Punk and Kingston both shared some personal shots at one another and shared their real life history with one another to produce some compelling segments.
Punk eventually left AEW after his contract was terminated following a backstage altercation with Jack Perry at AEW All In London.
Speaking with Inside The Ropes, AEW Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston discussed his feud with CM Punk. On nothing about his hatred for Punk being fake, Kingston said:
“That whole thing was reality, there’s your reality TV,”
“I don’t like him and he don’t like me, that’s it. I don’t wish him good, I don’t wish him bad, I don’t give a f**k about the guy and that’s it.”
“Even when he was part of our locker room, I didn’t give a f**k about him unless I had to fight him, just like he doesn’t care about me. I’m not the hard a** here, he doesn’t give two s**ts about me either, and that’s it.”
Eddie Kingston defeated Bryan Danielson to retain the AEW Continental Crown Championship at AEW Revolution on March 3.
Meanwhile, CM Punk went on to return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023. He is currently out of action with a torn triceps suffered at WWE Royal Rumble 2024.
