A new report has revealed another pitched 2024 WWE Hall of Fame inductee for this year’s event during WrestleMania weekend.
One of the most popular and anticipated events of WrestleMania weekend has always been the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
The show honors legends from the past and the history of the business unlike any other throughout the year.
For 2024, the company has already announced Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano and the U.S. Express duo of Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda as this year’s inductees.
Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that another pitched 2024 WWE Hall of Fame inductee is The Rock’s grandmother, Lia Maivia.
Maivia is the wife of professional wrestler Peter Maivia and took over his wrestling territory following his death. She became one of pro wrestling’s first female promoters, running the Polynesian Pro Wrestling promotion.
Earlier this year, The Rock was announced as the newest member of the TKO Board of Directors.
“The People’s Champion also returned to WWE programming and has turned heel by aligning with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline in a feud with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
The Rock is expected to team with Reigns to face Rhodes and Rollins at WrestleMania 40 night one on April 6.
The Rock’s grandmother becoming the latest Hall of Fame inductee would further his claim of his family being the most dominant in the wrestling industry.
WrestleTalk will provide further updates on this year’s WWE Hall of Fame when they become available.
