On tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, Roxanne Perez confirmed why she has turned heel while harkening back to the past.
Roxanne Perez had an in-ring segment revealing her motivations behind attacking NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria last week.
She unleashed her fury on fans – using a classic ‘you people’ motivation, she told the WWE Universe that they were partly to blame for her turn to the dark side.
Noting that they booed her in her face-to-face with Becky Lynch last year, she said that she even went home and cried over the fan reaction. But now she didn’t care what any of the stupid fans thought about her actions!
She revealed that she decided after having waited patiently for a year to get another opportunity at the NXT Women’s Championship, she decided to do things her own way.
She attacked Valkyria last week, noting that she expected the current NXT Women’s Champion to have to vacate her title the same way Perez herself did last year, so she had an even bigger demand.
Roxanne invited General Manager Ava come out to announce that she was vacating Valkyria’s title and instead, giving it to Perez.
Ava did appear but she didn’t get a chance to say much although seemed to squarely deny Perez’s request before the segment was interrupted.
Valkyria’s bestie Tatum Paxley burst out of the crowd and had to be pulled to the back as Ava attempted to maintain order as Perez taunted Paxley.
