Dax Harwood has now commented on the Infantry’s win over House of Black in the AEW Tag Team Championship tournament.
While many were predicting that the House of Black could’ve won the entire tournament, Brody King & Buddy Matthews were knocked out of the tournament on Saturday’s (March 16) Collision episode, losing a tournament wildcard bout to Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean.
The Infantry is now slated to face Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler of FTR in the official first round of the tournament.
Harwood has now taken to Twitter to note that he believes that Carlie Bravo and Shawn Dean are the future.
reacting to the duo winning their wildcard bout, Harwood said:
A lot of people don’t know this, but these are my guys! They’re the future. I’m sure they learned from the opening round match & will be back to deliver more.
At some point in life, it’s time to step aside & let the new guys get the shine. Just not right now. We’ll see yall next week.
The tournament will determine the next set of AEW Tag Team Champions, with Sting and Darby Allin relinquishing the gold following Sting’s retirement match at AEW Revolution.
