It has emerged that a WWE star suffered an injury during their championship match over WrestleMania 40 weekend.
On Saturday, April 6, night one of WrestleMania was preceded by NXT Stand & Deliver, which featured four title matches.
One of those was the three-way for the NXT North American Championship with Oba Femi defending against Dijak and Josh Briggs.
During last night’s April 9 NXT, commentator Vic Joseph made an announcement on the status of Briggs.
Briggs, according to what was announced by Joseph, suffered two cracked ribs during the match.
There were no further details other than Joseph saying WWE hopes to have more updates in the coming weeks.
We wish Briggs all the best for his recovery and we’ll keep you posted if more details emerge.
Femi’s next challenger for the North American Title looks to be Ivar after the two had a confrontation during NXT.
