Here are four potential winners of the battle royal on tonight’s April 22 WWE Raw to replace Rhea Ripley as Women’s World Champion.
Ripley vacated the title last week due to suffering a legitimate shoulder injury a week prior during a backstage brawl segment with Liv Morgan.
With Ripley set to be out for a number of months, WWE only had somewhere between one and two weeks to figure out a quick change of plans for Raw’s women’s championship.
So, let’s take a look at four stars who could win the battle royal tonight on WWE Raw and walk out as the new Women’s World Champion.
4. Becky Lynch
Despite reports that she was set to take time off after WrestleMania 40, Becky Lynch seems to be back in the fray, at least for the time being.
Lynch worked WWE’s UK tour over the past few days, and was featured in the promotional video for tonight’s battle royal.
That doesn’t 100% mean she’ll be in it – Xia Li was featured in the video and then news came out that she was released from her contract literally minutes later – but it appears there’s a good chance.
Lynch ranks fourth on this list as WWE probably will give her the time off as planned and she’ll likely just be in the runner-up spot as a major last elimination to put over whoever wins.
But if things have changed due to Ripley’s absence and Lynch is sticking around, she’s definitely the biggest star on the Raw women’s roster so she’d be an appropriate winner in that sense.
She’ll probably factor into the finish of the battle royal though even if she doesn’t win – more on that in a bit.
