Following his AEW World Title win at AEW Dynasty, Swerve Strickland’s first match since the victory has been revealed.
At AEW Dynasty 2024, Swerve Strickland defeated Samoa Joe to win the AEW World Championship in the main event. With this victory, Strickland became the first African American AEW World Champion in company history.
On April 23, AEW President Tony Khan took to social media to announce that Swerve Strickland will be in action in an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match against ROH TV Champion Kyle Fletcher on the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite. The post reads:
