Trick Williams was able to emerge victorious from night one of Spring Breakin’ and become the new WWE NXT Champion.
In the main event of tonight’s NXT Spring Breakin’ special episode Ilja Dragunov looked to defend the NXT World Championship against Trick Williams.
There was also the added stipulation that if Williams lost, he would be banished from NXT.
In the final moments of the match, both men were in opposing corners of the ring however when they met in the middle of the ring, it was Williams who was able to capitalize.
Hitting the ‘Trick Shot’ and getting the pinfall victory, Trick Williams captured the NXT Championship by defeating Ilja Dragunov.
Reading between the lines, this pretty much confirms a main roster call-up for Ilja Dragunov in the WWE Draft, with Williams staying in NXT.
