WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez has a bold vision for a dream match with AJ Lee and won’t retire until it happens.
With CM Punk having made his return to WWE, AJ Lee’s comeback has been the source of speculation, with a ‘tenured’ source previously casting doubt on the possibility.
Discussing the possibility of stepping into the ring with AJ Lee, Perez said on Ring The Belle:
“Hopefully, one day, she’ll come back and maybe we can all do something together.
“That would be, that would be like my dream.
“I can’t retire until I have a match against AJ Lee.”
The three time WWE Divas Champion last wrestled in March 2015, teaming with Naomi and Paige (now Saraya in AEW) to defeat Natalya and The Bella Twins on WWE Raw.
In October 2021, she joined WOW Women of Wrestling as an executive producer, marking her return to the wrestling world after six years away.
She would go on to provide color commentary on their weekly television show, though would announce her departure from WOW in August 2023.
Perez is currently in her second reign as NXT Women’s Champion, having won the title from Lyra Valkyria at Stand & Deliver earlier this month.
